When it comes to getting all you want from a phone and then some, the Sony Ericsson Idou comes out on top of the rest. In fact when it was unveiled it was the talk of every showcased event and for good reason; the vivid colours on the screen are unparalleled and the overall design is something seen in a techie’s dream.

What’s more is this phone truly does bring it all to the individual and we will start with the phone’s prominent feature first. The 12 megapixel camera is backed up with autofocus so that you are always left with crystal clear clarity, there are then both the LED and Xenon flashes that are adept for both still pictures and moving picture recording, a face detection feature, and even a Smile Shutter program that in fact detects when your subject is smiling and the picture is ready to be shot; how’s that for smart?

When it comes time to doing that dialling there is of course Bluetooth as an option, and call clarity will never again leave you to ask if you can in fact be heard. To view all those lovely pictures and of course navigate on-line there is the 3.5 inch touch screen touting a 360 x 640 pixel resolution; things really will pop to life. In terms of staying connected via the internet the Sony Ericsson Idou is 3G capable and has Wi-Fi technology.

The phone comes complete with Google Maps to keep you on the straight and narrow as well as a music player to rock out to your favourite MP3 tunes and also the video player that replays all those movies you shot and should you then choose to send them off to your friends that liberty is passed along to you. Other features include gesture control and the organizer to make certain you are always left on top of your business and never again miss an appointment.

This baby really is all you need and more in a phone wrapped up in one chic cover. For all of the details as well as other models coming to you from Sony be sure to head to their website.

The Nokia E55 comes to you with a streamlined design that is outfitted with what is coined as a compact QWERTY keyboard meaning that there are 20 keys. The phone has also come equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera but is also backed up with a second one that is designed for video calls; this is a perk for video conferencing when regular audio is simply not enough. This then is a model with business put first and foremost for anyone aiming to please at the office and be as efficient as possible.

The nitty gritty of the Nokia E55 is that it has 2.4 inch screen that is quite clear and vivid, it also is 3G capable and with Wi-Fi technology, there is of course Bluetooth, a GPS receiver that is already built in, and has 60 MB of memory that can be boosted with a 2GB card.

What is also nice is that there is the one touch short cut keys that are again installed with the businessman in mind. Working off of the new navigation device from Nokia this phone has Ovi Maps which not only keeps you on the right path in the car but on foot as well; there are a continually undated account of events and maps for any destination.

And to navigate on your own phone, when it comes to the keys they are unique in that they have been changed from previous models to make organizing and getting to where you want to go much faster and easier. The Nokia E55 is certainly a great choice in phones for anyone who is partial to a keyboard and still wants something that is at a competitive price.

For all of the information on this phone and the rest of the Nokia line you can head to the Nokia website.

For those aiming to outfit themselves with something much more than a phone, while of course you will be able to make all the calls your little heart desires, the HTC Shift comes to you as a powerful combination of all things technical.

For starters this tablet contains a 40GB hard drive, fuses a touch screen with still a full keyboard, and is a whiz when it comes to navigating on-line. The wonderful thing is the fact that it is so readily portable that it slips into even the smallest of portfolios, one comes included of course, and looks similar to a book.

The pertinent details include that it does have the QWERTY keyboard and accompanying pen, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, a USB and VGA output, a 3.5mm stereo output with a microphone, and additional SIM and SDIO slots. Finally the battery will stay charged up for 2 hours while you are out and on the go.

The screen of the HTC Shift is 7 inches and as previously noted is able to act as a touch screen function, the device runs off of Windows Vista Business OS which makes it adept for the savvy professional looking to score some brownie points at the office. What really makes this item so coveted is the fact that unlike typical phones that still get on-line the HTC Shift doesn’t limit you to the small screen diminutions a phone has and you can then go about your business much faster and easier. Because you then are offered a chance to make calls it can then pull double duty.

The body is tough and durable enough so that it can travel anywhere and it similarly purrs along without making much noise at all. This little diddy sure does sparkle and shine but what’s more is it lives up to its function and then some.

We are living in a techno obsessed world and more and more of the gadgets and devices that get rolling out come with so many advanced features that are both unnecessary and sometimes impractical for us all.

The vast majority don’t want to waste their precious money on things that they aren’t going to use and so the Nokia 6700 has been welcomed with open arms in not only its affordability but in that it still provides not only the basic must haves for any phone but a multiple added bonuses that haven’t inflated its costs.

The first thing that you will note with the Nokia 6700 is its chic outer casing and slim and subsequently chrome keypad. The screen is 2.2 inches but what the biggest edge it has over other phones is its crystal clear imaging and vivid colour spectrum. This makes looking at any of those pictures you take from the 5 megapixel camera all the more pleasurable.

You can then share those images via the 3G connectivity and because browsing the net can be sometime tricky on a phone screen Nokia has helped us out with an easy to manoeuvre zoom in and out mode.

Other features to note in the Nokia 6700 are the FM stereo and the accompany ear buds that come with the phone, a slot for a microSD card, Bluetooth, Ovi Maps, Ovi Share, push notifications, and more. This phone is excellent for those who are adverse to the growing trend of touch screen phones and are also not looking to shell out for a barrage of features you don’t need or want to pay for in a phone.

You get plenty from this Nokia model and to find out more on this phone and others you can head to the Nokia website.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is so much more than a phone and in fact anyone toting one of these beauties is sure to be making a fashion statement of the utmost technical regards.

At first glance you can’t help but be pulled into its allure with the black aluminium body highlighted perfectly by chrome accents. Yet when you see that keyboard slide out anyone who wasn’t already drooling will be. Still, looking like something George Jetson could only dream of this latest release in phones is much more than a pretty package, albeit it definitely is.

Allowing you to dial up and connect under any circumstances the backlit keyboard is actually in tune with the hours of the day and turns on when it senses night fall.

When we come to the screen of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 you will be granted the liberty to opt for a touch screen instead of the keyboard if that is your preference. The screen itself is 3 inches and has an 800 x 480 pixel resolution; everything does admittedly pop to life with the vivid colours.

But even better than looking at the screen is that it touts an interactive panel interface; with the simple touch of your finger you can get right to exactly what you are looking for and have programmed in what features are most in line with your own uses and life.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 works off of Windows Mobile 6.1 and 256MB of RAM from its processor, has a headphone jack to so you can listen to all of those audio files you’ve got on there, and when it comes to audio quality this phone has again come out a winner. For anyone who is looking to not only acquire state of the art technology but do so with a phone that also looks the part, here you have one that fits the bill to a tee. Find out all the details and more from the Sony website

Are you anything short of a whiz when it comes to navigation? Well luckily for you Nokia Ovi Maps has you covered and should you be in tow with your cell phone and this application you will never be lost, left scratching your head, and driving around in circles again.

What is particularly great about his feature from Nokia is the very fact that it is all free and able to download to any of their compatible phone right away. When you do this you are then made privy to a phone that works as a map and compass to get you where you need to be.

So what’s the dish on Nokia Ovi Maps? Well the entire program comes with not only driving navigation but walking navigation as well; what this means is that even if you are off roading and hiking you won’t be delegated to using smoke signals to call for a rescue team. This little gem even gives you the shortest and fastest route to get to any location so you won’t waste any precious time en route.

You can search for destinations if you aren’t sure where the action is going on thanks to the Lonely Planet and Michelin guide listings. There are also free event listings to alert you to upcoming festivities that you must set the date for. Finally there are all the maps you could ever wish for which are also being continually updated for precise accuracy.

You will find that Nokia Ovi Maps truly is a gift for anyone that is not all that direction savvy and what’s more is that a wide array of their phones are just waiting to be programmed up with this great, completely free feature. Along with this you can find other fun accessories that you may like to get in order to facilitate in your car navigation. All of these and of course the Ovi Maps can be found at Nokia’s website.

The Samsung i8520 Beam is on the latest wave of smartphones and it may be easier to say what this phone can’t do instead of rattling off all of the extensive features, yet we will touch at least the tip of the iceberg here.

First we’ll start with the basics and this touch screen phone is 3.7 inches and brought up to the vivacity of life in terms of colour rich tones and the blackest of black shadows thanks to the AMOLED display. Slim and sleek it is up to par while looking like the professional and futuristic smartphone that it is and you will then note the 8 mega pixel camera that has dual capabilities at capturing stills and then doing video recordings.

There is the FM radio that can be tuned into via the headphone jack, the Bluetooth 2.1, GPS to make sure you are always on the right path, and 3G data. Did we mention that there then is also the DLP pico projector that allows you to show off at work and pull up a slide show or other presentation on the spot should you wish to do so? Well, if there was ever a mobile phone that could grant you a raise it would be the Samsung i8520 Beam.

It does have plenty of memory with 16 gigabytes, which equates to holding 1000 phone number contacts, but that can always be given a boost with a memory card. To make sure you also sound the part when that phone rings there are plenty of polyphonic ring tones set as well as ring tone profiles but if that isn’t enough you can always upload those MP3 ring tones to infuse your own personal tastes.

And if you want to share your musical prowess with the world and opt out of the headphone jack you can just blast those tunes via the speakers; oh, and they also doubles as a speaker phone, but that should be obvious.

When it comes to phone manufacturers Blackberry has proven time and time again to come out ahead of the rest, so in keeping with such the Blackberry Bold certainly has lived up to its fine name. The first thing you will notice upon glancing at the phone is its sleek design that is totally flash forward.

In keeping with its namesake there is an expansive screen that is so vivid everything seen comes to life; this is thanks to the 480 x 320 pixel resolution. Also in line with its predecessors is the full keyboard which is highly coveted in a world inundated with so many touchscreen models.

In terms of memory the Blackberry Bold boasts a built in 128 MB but if that is not enough you can always up that with a memory card to tack on 8 more gigabytes. While these are powerful business phones the entertainment factor has not been overlooked and outside of browsing the internet to your heart’s desire you can enjoy all of your favourite tunes as well.

The music device is fully integrated and allows you to transfer iTunes and then make up your own play lists to store and file away with no fuss. For those looking to capture those magic moments there is the 2 mega pixel camera that not only takes stills but moving clips too so that you can then save and share them among your friends. Another thing of note is that you get Blackberry Maps so that you will never be lost or late for an important appointment again.

Finally, because the internet is so crucial today you will be blessed by the Blackberry Bold’s 3G Wi-Fi technology and all of your on-line navigation will be just as much of a breeze as what is supplied via the Maps application. This smartphone truly does boast an enviable IQ and for all of the other features and more models you can head to the Blackberry website.
